About the EXPOFORUM Convention & Exhibition Centre
EXPOFORUM is a new convention-and-exhibition centre that opened in St. Petersburg on October 7, 2014. It is the most cutting-edge venue of its kind anywhere in Russia – or Europe – for holding business and entertainment events of any size and format – exhibitions, conventions, forums, sports and cultural events. The EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre is the largest specialised venue of its kind in St. Petersburg.
It consists of:
- three exhibition pavilions,
- convention centre with a total holding capacity of 30,000 people (68 conference halls),
- St. Petersburg’s first HILTON hotels,
- business centre,
- customs-and-logistics complex,
- cafes, restaurants and other such infrastructural amenities.
The Super E symbol in the logo for the convention-and-exhibition centre repeats the architecture of the complex itself: three exhibition pavilions and a convention centre form the four parallel elements of the Super E, joined by a passageway. EXPOFORUM has been built in full compliance with the standards of theGlobal Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).
The covered gallery of the Passage connects all the pavilions and the Congress Center, which ensures comfortable movement of visitors inside the complex.
A barrier-free environment for people with limited mobility has been created in the pavilions and in the parking lot of the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Congress Center can comfortably accommodate up to 30 thousand people. Developed infrastructure – 441-room Hilton international hotels, restaurants, business centers, customs and logistics complex – allows Expoforum to become a real event cluster. ExpoForum-International provides a range of services, from catering and cleaning to transport services and tourist support.

The COVID-19 pandemic has completely changed the course of human life. In April 2020, the convention and exhibition industry was among the hardest hit by the restrictions caused by the spread of the new virus.
In August 18, 2020, ExpoForum was refurbished and received a QR code for the resumption of congress and exhibition activities. In July in St. Petersburg, as a result of interaction between ExpoForum-International, the Government of St. Petersburg and Rospotrebnadzor, safety standards for congress and exhibition activities were developed.
Obtaining a QR code with the SafeTravelsSPb is an official procedure for organizations that carry out exhibition activities, comply with all safety standards and promptly respond to pandemic recommendations.
In the post-pandemic period, ExpoForum hosted more than 80 events in full-time and hybrid formats. The highest level of security is also confirmed by the fact that ExpoForum became the venue for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2021 with the in-person participation of state leaders, where Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke.
ExpoForum is the main point on the map of business events, as its venue is chosen by significant international forums attended by top officials from states and global companies, including: the Russian National Congress of Cardiology, the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the International Fishery forum and exhibition of the fishing industry, seafood and technologies, the meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union, the 85th UFI Global Congress and others.
