COVID-19 will no longer be of international concern (PHEIC). According to Ghebreyesus, he decided to listen to the opinion of experts and announce the end of the pandemic.
At the briefing summed up the consequences of an infectious disease. Since 2020, according to official figures, about 7 million people have died from COVID-19.
However, the head of WHO believes that the real values are much higher. Ghebreyesus suggested that about 20 million people have died from the infection since the start of the pandemic.
