The project was developed in 2012. Until this year, Lenexpo and Expoforum had not held their own medical exhibitions. There was an exhibition “Hospital” in St. Petersburg (organizer: “Primexpo”), which closed in 2012.

In 2011, the Bioindustry exhibition took place (organizer: Lenexpo company).

2012 – development of the project “St. Petersburg International Health Forum” (PIHF). The main idea of the PMFZ was to create a new “umbrella” project in the field of healthcare, consolidating related exhibitions from different organizers.

The launch of this project had a great positive impact, as it attracted the attention of the international professional community.

As a result, the project included:

Project history

From October 16 to 18, 2013, on the territory of the Lenexpo exhibition complex, the St. Petersburg International Health Forum was organized by ExpoForum CJSC, together with Messe Dusseldorf Moscow LLC, Primexpo LLC, and the International Public Organization “Man and His Health”.

As part of the project, specialists were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the products and services of more than 200 companies from 16 countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Slovenia, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, South Korea, India, Israel, Japan, Cuba and the USA. Experts were able to discuss the most important issues in the industry at more than 30 events – conferences, round tables and symposia. More than 3,500 specialists attended the forum events. 102 cities were represented by visitors.

Mechnikov, St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical Academy, First St. Petersburg State Medical University named after. acad. I.P. Holding on one site several specialized exhibitions “Mediz St. Petersburg”, “Man and his health”, “Pharmacy”, “Medical services and health tourism”, “Bioindustry”, Visus-Expo made it possible to provide a comprehensive intersectoral and interdisciplinary approach to creation of a health industry.

Industry projects of three leading international exhibition companies presented a wide range of goods and services for medicine and health at the St. Petersburg International Health Forum, which was held from October 15 to 17 at the new ExpoForum convention and exhibition center.

The exposition brought together manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment, instruments and consumables (MEDIZ SPb), manufacturers of pharmaceuticals (Pharmacia), biotechnology developers and research and production companies (Bioindustry), as well as sanatorium and resort organizations, travel companies and private clinics (Healthcare tourism).

This year, the organizers added a new event – the International Exhibition of the Beauty and Health Industry “Aesthetic Medicine”, which expanded the forum’s exhibition program in the direction of “Healthy Lifestyle” and allowed beauty industry companies to demonstrate their potential.

The opportunities of the health industry were presented by participants from 12 regions of Russia, as well as Turkey, Korea, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Singapore, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia, France, and China.

In 2014, changes in the political situation in the international arena influenced the interest of foreign companies in participating in exhibitions. The companies Messe Dusseldorf Moscow and Primexpo withdrew from the project.

Project history

From October 14 to 16, the III St. Petersburg International Health Forum was held at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center. For three days, St. Petersburg became the capital of the healthy lifestyle industry! The III St. Petersburg International Health Forum brought together heads of leading companies in the field of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, medical equipment production and health tourism from 12 countries.

Five industry expositions were presented at the forum – “Mediz”, “Pharmacy”, “Bioindustry”, Health & Medical Tourism and “Aesthetic Medicine”. About 100 companies from 12 countries presented on an area of about 4,500 square meters. meters of medical equipment and equipment, pharmaceuticals, medical and health services, biotechnology and services in the field of aesthetic medicine. Among the exhibitors are leading industry players: Doctor Supply, Baltic Care, Biomed, Pharmacenter Vilar, Physics Institute named after. Lebedev, as well as the Cluster of Medical, Environmental Instrument Making and Biotechnology of St. Petersburg and many others.

In addition, as part of the forum, 12 business events took place, which were supported by relevant ministries and departments, clusters and associations. The key event was the plenary session “Health of Children and Adolescents”.

Participants in a round table dedicated to the commercialization of innovative projects in the field of biopharmacy and biomedicine spoke about the development and implementation of new technologies.

On October 11–13, 2017, the V St. Petersburg International Health Forum was held. The forum was organized by the ExpoForum-International company together with the Health Committee of St. Petersburg.

From October 17 to 19, Expoforum hosted the VI St. Petersburg International Health Forum, the largest project in the field of healthcare in the North-West. More than 3,000 visitors – specialists from the medical industry – gathered on one site and examined the key areas of development of the healthcare system in Russia and high-tech solutions focused on the patient.

As part of the business program, 11 events were held. With the support of the St. Petersburg Health Committee, a plenary meeting was held on the topic of e-health. That year marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Russian Center for Radiology and Surgical Technologies. In honor of this, a conference “Innovative technologies and multidisciplinary approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of socially significant diseases” was held.

IT in medicine became an important topic; the conference “Features of the implementation of IT technologies in healthcare institutions” was dedicated to it. Experts discussed issues related to the electronic medical record: its composition, integration, practical implementation and prospects. Professionals shared their experience in implementing regional medical information systems and useful specialized IT solutions for medical organizations of various levels and profiles.

Much emphasis that year was placed on the conference for the pharmaceutical market. The Association of Independent Pharmacies spoke about the state of the pharmaceutical market. The conference discussed the dispensing of medications, drugs for the treatment and prevention of acute respiratory viral infections, effective and safe antihistamines of the latest generation, etc.

From October 22 to 24, Expoforum hosted the VII St. Petersburg International Health Forum, but under a new name – the St. Petersburg International Medical and Pharmaceutical Forum (MedIn).

The St. Petersburg International Medical and Pharmaceutical Forum continued to follow the main ideas of the St. Petersburg International Health Forum, which in 2018 brought together more than 3,000 visitors.

“MedIn-2019” is a synthesis of several events to consolidate all levels of the health market: business, government, scientific community and public organizations.

This year was also interesting due to the inclusion in its program of a special focus session “Medical Tourism: RUSSIA – CHINA”, organized by the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution “Congress and Exhibition Bureau” and the ASRDS “Chinese Business Center”.

Significant experience of working in the most difficult conditions of a pandemic was presented at conferences and round tables organized by the Health Committee of St. Petersburg, the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Military Medical Academy named after. S. M. Kirov”, other medical organizations. The achievements and prospects of St. Petersburg as a global center in the field of scientific practical medicine were highlighted at the “Medical Tourism” conference held by the St. Petersburg Tourism Development Committee.

LIFE IN A MEGA CITY DURING A PANDEMIC

2021 is the second year of the pandemic. Offline/online format.

From October 20 to 21, 2022, the St. Petersburg International Health Forum began work at ExpoForum. For three days, the convention and exhibition center became a platform for discussing current issues of healthcare and life in the metropolis during a pandemic.

The opening ceremony of PMFZ-2021 was attended by the Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Oleg Ergashev, Chairman of the Health Committee of St. Petersburg Dmitry Lisovets, Vice-President of the All-Russian Public Organization “National Health League” Nikolai Kononov, General Director of ExpoForum-International Sergei Voronkov , representative of the World Health Organization in Russia Melita Vuinovich.

The St. Petersburg healthcare system, like the Russian and world systems, has withstood the test of coronavirus for the second year. Despite all the difficulties, St. Petersburg managed to mobilize its resources and rebuild the work of city healthcare.

The forum brought together highly professional specialists from all over the world. This year, 34 companies presented their latest developments at the exhibition. As part of the PMFZ-2021, a competition of innovative solutions for healthcare was held. The winners and runners-up were:

From October 25 to October 27, 2022, the X Anniversary St. Petersburg International Health Forum (PIHF-2022) was held in St. Petersburg at the ExpoForum convention and exhibition center. Over 3 days, the Forum was visited by 5,772 people – specialists and experts in the field of healthcare, representatives of government bodies, volunteers of medical organizations, students of medical higher educational institutions. Representatives of 52 regions of Russia and 18 foreign countries (India, China, Estonia, Belarus, Armenia, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Algeria, Burundi, Syria, Peru, Czech Republic, Algeria, Ireland, Morocco) took part in PMFZ-2022 ).

We discussed the geography of PMFZ-2022 with the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Zapevalov, and came to the conclusion that it corresponds to the political moment. Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Oleg Ergashev cited data from experts from the World Health Organization, according to which the health of the population is influenced by genetic factors, the state of the environment, lifestyle, and medical care. Another important factor is high-quality water supply, and in St. Petersburg drinking water is guaranteed to be safe.

Chairman of the Commission on Demography, Protection of Family, Children and Traditional Family Values of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, General Director of the ANO Institute of Scientific and Social Expertise Sergei Rybalchenko told how the federal project “Strengthening Public Health” of the national project “Demography” is being implemented. One of the goals of the initiative is to motivate citizens to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Chairman of the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee Elena Bogdan named the key threats and challenges to the health care system. Among them are the coronavirus pandemic, the threat of new pandemics with unpredictable numbers of mutations, the need to quickly obtain a vaccine, destructive technologies in the media, sanctions, global migration, the growth of non-communicable diseases in the post-Covid period, and others.

Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Artak Jumayan presented the main reforms in the field of public health in the Republic of Armenia. He noted that the country is introducing a compulsory medical insurance system for the entire population, implementing measures to combat malignant neoplasms, introducing an air ambulance service, actively combating tobacco smoking, promoting a healthy lifestyle in schools and preschool institutions, developing electronic services and telemedicine, and creating registries. diseases.

XI ST. PETERSBURG INTERNATIONAL HEALTH FORUM

2023:

On October 4–6, 2023, the XI St. Petersburg International Health Forum (SPIHF-2023) was held at Expoforum. Over 3,500 medical industry specialists, 39 moderators and more than 220 speakers took part in the Forum’s congress program. Over three days, the event was attended by more than 7,000 people from 52 regions of Russia and 18 foreign countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Morocco, India, Iraq, Iran, Serbia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, etc.)

The event brought together healthcare professionals, representatives of government, business, large medical organizations, compulsory medical insurance funds, leading educational and scientific organizations, and medical equipment developers. At the intellectual platform, experts proposed their solutions aimed at developing healthcare in modern realities.

The site hosted 68 events of the congress program, 12 of which were accredited by the Coordinating Council for the Development of Continuing Medical and Pharmaceutical Education (CME Council) in the specialties of the target audience.

On October 4, the official opening ceremony and the key event of the Forum took place – the plenary session “Modern healthcare planning for a metropolis”. Speaking, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Oleg Ergashev highlighted the key long-term goals of health policy: achieving a new quality of life for all generations, increasing life expectancy (in Russia – up to 78 years, in St. Petersburg – up to 79 years and 11 months). Preserving public health, increasing the birth rate, digitalizing healthcare, and supporting medical workers are also government priorities.

Task number one is the development of digitalization of healthcare. Based on feedback, we can interact, react, and make the right management decisions,” said the vice governor.

Today, the public healthcare system of St. Petersburg includes 300 medical organizations, employing 80,000 people. The city is provided with healthcare facilities – outpatient services, general practitioners’ offices, and clinics. Primary care is provided to the population by 142 adult medical organizations and 79 children’s medical organizations. In 2018–2023, 56 outpatient clinics were commissioned; the city plans to commission another 14 buildings for outpatient care by 2026. In addition, a targeted investment program is being implemented in St. Petersburg, and 21 billion rubles have been allocated for the modernization of primary healthcare.

Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Improvement of St. Petersburg Larisa Kanunnikova presented the work of the city authorities in the field of creating public spaces and improving the environment. According to her, new recreational spaces are being created in St. Petersburg that help citizens and tourists lead a healthier lifestyle. Among such places are the embankment of the Karpovka River, the Southern Road on Krestovsky Island, New Holland, Zanevsky Park and many others.

The official opening of the Forum and the traditional tour of the exhibition exposition were attended by the Chairman of the St. Petersburg Health Committee Dmitry Lisovets, the Executive Director of the Association “Healthy Cities, Districts and Villages” Tatyana Shestakova and the General Director of ExpoForum-International Sergey Voronkov.

Expoforum is the base site for more than 10 events in the healthcare sector. The St. Petersburg International Health Forum is an intersectoral event that combines the widest range of topics and formats,” said Sergey Voronkov.

Ensuring the quality and safety of medical activities,” as well as a number of scientific and practical conferences, round tables, thematic sessions and discussions.

On October 4-5, the St. Petersburg Expert Forum on Medical and Health Tourism was held at PMFZ-2023. At the Forum, specialists from specialized government and medical organizations presented a range of opportunities for Russian and foreign tourists – diagnostics, surgical treatment and rehabilitation, one-day check-up programs for the whole body, comprehensive examination, health and spa treatment.
